This note is long overdue, but I want to relay our absolute delight with our new pool, hot tub, and patio. At every step of the way you and the rest of the staff provided excellent service and craftsmanship!

As you know, this is our second pool installation and I did A LOT of research into companies and products - you were by far superior. Things that set you apart from the others were the products and attention to detail from color choices, tile selection, and concrete options.

When it came to service you guys really stood out - there was no drama - things were done on schedule, as requested, and I was kept informed along the way. While your estimate was roughly $1200 more than the next closest competitor, I calculate it was money well spent - we've all had those contractor who tell you they are showing up, you take the day off from work only to still be waiting for people to arrive at some point - that was not an issue with River Pools & Spas. When I had questions or concerns they were quickly addressed, our project was done on time, the estimate was accurate, there were no surprises, calls were promptly returned - and I felt that we were taken care of.

Here are a some before and after pictures. I will continue to rave about River Pools and best wishes for the upcoming swim season (we have swimming year round thanks to you guys!)

How dare you spoil us!! We now expect the other businesses to actual respond to us and do as expected. Come on. How can anyone else uphold those standards. We can't be happy now with the poor attitude and slack efforts of our shed guys (pool house) and fence guys. Your company installed our pool in April of 2005. Now in our season of enjoyment, I feel compelled to express our views. Therefore, on behalf of my wife, Jan and family, I wish to let you and the team at River Pools and Spas know how satisfied we are with the installation our fiberglass pool. When Jan and I made the decision to install a pool we contacted several pool companies in the Richmond area. We knew at the moment that you offered to personally visit with us at our home that we were heading in the right direction. Upon your arrival and during our extensive discussions about liner, concrete and fiberglass pools we felt so comfortable that you were being straight forward and had our interests at heart. Your genuine approach and attention to detail gave us the confidence that River Pools and Spas would do nothing less than a perfect job. Even after signing the contract to move forward with a fiberglass pool we were still a little nervous about how the process would evolve over the next month. Watching Jason control the machine which dug the initial hole was unbelievable. He carved out the earth like it was his hand scrapping the dirt to the required size. The level of professionalism and friendliness during the entire installation was exceptional. There were so many wonderful moments during the installation process, but I can still feel the intensity of seeing the pool arrive on the back of a low-boy truck. What an unbelievable sight to see that oversized vehicle coming down the road. The raising and setting of the pool into place was amazing! Putting in a pool was a big investment but the dividends are endless. The pool has not only been great at bringing us closer to each other as a family, but it affords us the ability to extend and share our good fortune to our neighbors. To date, I believe we have purchased a hot tub from River Pools and Spas, a ping pong table, table shuffle board, as well as many other entertainment products. Needless to say, we have strongly recommended River Pools and Spas to our friends.

I write this letter with absolute ease, in that I am eager to advise you and all interested parties, of the exemplary service I have received from the principals and employees of River Pools and Spas. This company, in particular its co-owner Mr. James Spiess, has provided my family with the utmost professional and courteous personal service we've ever experienced on not one, but two occasions. As a Federal Law Enforcement Officer who investigates major frauds committed against the US Government, I have come across many unscrupulous businessmen and some of the most shady individuals amongst us. To Prospective Pool Buyers and River Pools & Spas Staff:

When I went to the Charles County Fair last year, I had no idea my wife and I were going to be buying a pool. We had had a 20X40 in-ground liner type pool that our children had learned to swim in but fond memories were mixed because of maintenance issues related to that type of pool - especially one over 20 years old. I removed it. Later, I thought how nice it would be to have a pool for our grandkids but didn't want a pool I'd have to work on all the time.

At the fair I saw River Pools & Spas' display of a real nice fiberglass insert and knew right away that I had found my grandkids new pool. I later worked up what I considered a fair deal with one of the owners, Jim Spiess, and we were off to the races. The only concern that remained for me was the quality of work I would receive from River Pools & Spas' but that concern was soon laid to rest. Over the course of the next few months River Pools & Spas' worked hard to keep up their end of the deal and to deliver a nice product. The staff I worked with from River Pools & Spas' was excellent - they took pride in their work, knew what they were doing, and were kind and >courteous. In the end, we had a nice pool that met our needs and feel like we have made some new friends at River Pools & Spas'. Call me anytime for a recommendation.
