When it comes to quality fiberglass pool construction, everything starts with the pool mold. The mold is the structure used to spray the fiberglass materials against. This structure must be built with precision and maintained over time so that the resulting pools will be strong, blemish free, and go in level.

One of the biggest problems with molds in the fiberglass pool industry is the fact that as they age and are damaged over time, this makes it very difficult to install pools level per factory specifications. In other words, although the dig specs for a particular mold may have been accurate when they were first drawn up, such plans are often accurate only a few years later because of warped and damaged molds. A common reason for this 'warping' stemsfrom the fact that many manufacturers use wood as their means of bracing their swimming pool molds. Because this wood does not maintain its structural integrity over time, the mold therefore slowly changes shape, rendering it extremely difficult to install level and properly.
