Installed pools for 8 years, beginning in his teens, and also was self employed as an insurance agent.

Interesting Facts:

• Married to high school sweetheart Christine and now has 3 sons: Grayson, Seth, and Isaac.
• Excelled in athletics at New Kent High School, receiving all-state honors in both baseball and football, and went on later played baseball for Christopher Newport University.

Most enjoyable part of owning River Pools:

"What I enjoy most about this business is the energy that surrounds swimming pools. Our customers get so excited, the adults get giddy, the kids sleep with their bathing suits on, and it's just great to be around. I also enjoy the relationship that I've been able to develop with customers, employees, contractors, etc. Finally, I appreciate the continued personal development that entrepreneurship demands."

Hobbies:

Fishing/boating, racquetball and reading.

Self-education through study of the great people and works in history.

"Aside from our savior Jesus Christ, I would say that I have a great respect and admiration for the founding fathers of our nation. They paid the price to gain an intellectual, financial, and influential status; which enabled them to change the world. They saw society as it was, how it should be, and acted with no thought of repercussions. They were the epitome of public virtue."
